Horrific Incident in Hyderabad

A young woman filed a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police, alleging that her ex-boyfriend not only entered her home without permission but also attempted to sexually assault her. The accused was arrested on Thursday and remanded in custody. According to the police, Lalith Sehgal, a guitarist working in pubs, developed a romantic relationship with the 36-year-old woman, who was employed in a private job, after they met in 2016.

The two remained friends until 2021, when they broke up and went their separate ways. Recently, the woman has been getting close to a friend of Lalith Sehgal, and to address this, Lalith Sehgal, who was staying in a hostel in Gachibowli, went to the woman’s flat.

A heated argument ensued between the two, with both shouting and yelling at each other. During this confrontation, the victim alleged that Lalith Sehgal acted indecently by tearing her clothes and attempting to sexually assault her. She reported this to the police. In response, the Jubilee Hills police registered a case against Lalith Sehgal under IPC Sections 376 read with 511, 323, 354, and 509, and he was remanded in custody on Thursday. The investigation is ongoing.
