Tata Group and Somerville College to Build Ratan Tata Building, Enhancing Global Research and Learning

The Tata Group and Somerville College, part of the University of Oxford, have announced plans for the Ratan Tata Building, a project set to significantly improve the college’s teaching and learning facilities. This new building will honor the late Ratan Tata, Chairperson Emeritus of Tata Group, and is expected to begin construction in the spring of 2025.

The location of the OICSD within the Ratan Tata Building will be directly opposite the prestigious Blavatnik School of Government, utilizing the last available development space in the iconic Radcliffe Observatory Quarter.

Architectural Design and Vision

The design for the Ratan Tata Building has been created by Morris+Company, a renowned London-based architectural firm.
