A Mumbai-bound IndiGo flight from Chennai faced a bomb threat on Wednesday night. The flight, 6E 5149, landed safely in Mumbai at 10:30 PM. IndiGo confirmed that all passengers disembarked without incident after the plane was moved to an isolation bay.

IndiGo stated, “We are working closely with security agencies. After all necessary checks, the aircraft will return to the terminal.”

This incident follows bomb threat emails received at airports in Vadodara and Patna earlier this week. Mumbai also experienced multiple bomb threats, including one directed at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters. Police searched the building but found nothing suspicious. Security measures have been intensified in response.

On Tuesday, over 50 hospitals in Mumbai received bomb threat emails. The threats claimed that bombs were planted under beds and in bathrooms. Hospitals such as Jaslok, Raheja, Seven Hills, and others were targeted. Police and bomb squads searched the facilities but found no explosives. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are tracking the email sender, who used a VPN to mask their identity.
