Apple and Nvidia are reportedly in talks to invest in OpenAI, potentially boosting the AI firm’s valuation to over $100 billion. The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News revealed these discussions, with Apple showing interest and Nvidia considering participation in the fundraising round.

This news follows a report that venture capital firm Thrive Capital plans to invest around $1 billion in OpenAI, leading the funding effort. Microsoft, OpenAI’s biggest strategic partner with over $10 billion invested, is also expected to join the round.

OpenAI’s soaring valuation reflects the intense competition in the AI sector, especially after the success of ChatGPT, which launched in late 2022. This chatbot has pushed companies to pour billions into AI technology, driving rapid innovation and fierce rivalry.
